Sure they're all insane but they get stuff done
I've always liked long coats too...

Also, where in the seven sectors did you find that monster of a bayonet!?

MUST HAVE!

It's a Swiss 1914 Pioneer Bayonet. As I live in Switzerland, it's quite easy and relatively cheap to find here :D

Hey one last thing, how did you make the bayonet lug?

It's just a metal stripe screwed to the resin part of the rifle. Unfortunately, as the gun barrel is to big to fit in the bayonet ring, the blade is quite unstable

Ah yes. Unfortunately they routinely run well over $300 in the States.

How did you make the helmet? Would you happen to have the plans still?

I'm trying to make a warhammer uniform similar to this, and that helmet would be perfect!

I made its frame with a 3D printer, glued it, smoothed it with car filler and added the rivets, a resin eagle and the internal barding.

Wow. On a scale of 1 to 10, how hard was that project? I've never made anything like this before, this is my first cosplay attempt. Just looking around for ideas and advice.

A scale value doesn't make sense: it's do or not do it. What I can tell, it's that would be quite expensive as it has many accessories, if you want to be very close to the original.
I was lucky that I could recover many vintage swiss equipments which were almost perfect and cheap. What I could not find or adapt, I had to commission to leatherworkers or tailors.
Some update are still planned for the future. It's to you and your budget to decide how far you want to push

I'm hoping to sew together the vast majority of it. At least I don't have any leather to worry about! Phew!
